Today, Covid-19 vaccines have become one of the most important things in life. The administration of a vaccine is to help the immune system develop protection from a disease. The way a vaccine works is that it contains weakened parts of a particular virus and when injected into you, you body reacts to these weakened amounts of virus and produces antibodies to fight it so next time you are in contact with the virus, the antibodies in your body will recognize the virus and hence your body will be equipped to fight it and keep you healthy.

No, vaccines are designed to generate an immune response that will protect you from future exposure to that disease and we all know that everyone’s immune system is different. Unfortunately, in some cases, a person’s immune system does not generate an adequate response and the person is not protected in the future.

So yes, there is a chance of getting Covid-19 even after being administered by the vaccine fully. But it is important to know that preventing an infection is not always the point of the vaccine.

  • Fully vaccinated people are less likely to get seriously ill or hospitalized after getting the vaccine.
  • Even fully vaccinated individuals develop symptoms but they are much less severe as compared to unvaccinated individuals.
  • Even after being fully vaccinated, you can get COVID-19 and this can be contagious.

Side effects are part of any vaccine and it’s nothing to be afraid of as it is just our immune system kicking in and doing what it’s supposed to do. After the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, people might face pain in their arm, experience fatigue and headaches. But you will be surprised to know that side effects are in fact a good thing and it means that the vaccine is working and your immunity is fighting well.

No deaths have been reported after being administered by Covid-19 vaccines such as Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna because the goal of the vaccine program for Covid-19 is not necessarily to get to ‘Covid zero’ but to tame the virus and to remove its ability to cause serious disease, hospitalization, or death.
